Blog post is here: https://www.allenscloud.com/wordpress/2020/05/04/how-to-get-your-petnet-io-feeders-somewhat-working-again/
The Blog post was the first method I tried and is no longer the preferred method. Please check out my YouTube Videos for both Generation 1 and Generation 2 feeders. But if you have any questions or comments, this is the place.
Thanks!

What you’ll need to do this hardware update… Definitely the new board, the wire only if you don’t have any around the house.

I did make a mistake in both videos. You WILL need a new power supply for both generation feeders. The one it comes with does not have enough Amps to keep it stable. Many different options will work but I have included a suggestion below.
Parts Needed:
WiFi Board: https://amzn.to/3g0377o
Power Supply: https://amzn.to/2zGbrJ2
Tools Needed:
Wire Cutters/snips: https://amzn.to/34UeVVv
(for Gen 2 feeders only)
T10 Torx screwdriver: https://amzn.to/2ENSMh1
OPTIONAL (but recommended):
Wire Stripper: https://amzn.to/2WI8Uac
6" of 18 Gauge wire: https://amzn.to/2Zc9ApP
Velco or double sided stick tape to secure the board.
If you have any questions please let me know…
The videos are for entertainment and informational purposes and I take no responsibility if you choose to do this to your own hardware.
